Destination Africa

A bucket list for many

Going on an African safari is a profound and immersive experience that brings you face-to-face with some of the world’s most majestic wildlife in their natural habitat.

Imagine riding in an open 4x4 with a skilled guide and tracker. You set out in the early morning to spot the “Big Five” — lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino — as well as giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, hyenas, and countless bird species.

Getting there

The journey begins

Getting to a safari destination in Africa usually starts with an international flight into a major hub like Nairobi, Johannesburg, or Kilimanjaro. From there, travelers either board a small bush plane to reach a remote airstrip near their safari lodge or embark on a scenic overland drive that can take several hours, depending on the park’s location.

Accommodations

Why sacrifice comfort?

Luxury safari lodges are often architecturally stunning and seamlessly integrated into the landscape. They feature spacious suites or villas with amenities like private plunge pools, king-sized beds, freestanding bathtubs, air conditioning, gourmet meals, and even in-room spa treatments.

Excursions

Daily game drives

The specifics of each camp differ, but in general you can expect 2 game drives per day — morning and evening. Game drives led by expert guides and trackers who interpret animal behavior and identify tracks.

In some camps, the evening game drives include a "sundowner" stop for a quick drink and snacks!

dining

You won't go hungry

Dining at a luxury safari lodge is an elegant, immersive experience that blends gourmet cuisine with the sights and sounds of the African wilderness. Guests enjoy beautifully prepared multi-course meals made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, often served in stunning settings such as open-air decks, by a firepit under the stars — known as a boma dinner — or even out in the bush.

Community

Make friends for life

With small group sizes and shared experiences — like early morning drives, meals in the bush, and quiet moments watching elephants at a waterhole — conversations flow easily, and camaraderie grows quickly.

These friendships, often sparked in the heart of the wilderness, can become lasting connections rooted in a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
